TEDx Hult London Studio:
HIDDEN HEROES
The purpose of this TEDx event was to provide a platform to lesser known individuals that were making a difference in their communities. This inspired the theme ‘Hidden Heroes’.
For this project, I was tasked with creating a custom X and social media posts in accordance to the theme. The idea was to create content that held an intimate and personal feeling - hence all main illustrations were hand-drawn on Procreate using pencil-style brushes.

Making a custom X:
The Rough Drafts
I sketched several different X styles based on my interpretation of the theme. The theme made me think mostly of the phrase “small but mighty”, with images of small figures ‘fixing’ or ‘building’ the crumbling X. I also looked towards using different colour gradients of red to play with the idea of hiding the heroes within the X.
The final X features three key attractions in London: Tower Bridge, Big Ben, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Small heroes are seen ‘flying around’ each attraction, as if they’re looking over everyone.
